After Cezembre blouse and Malo dress, Anne proposed me to test its latest model: Pixa skirt.
Anne still has the desire to create simple patterns to achieve and especially déclinable wishes.
The Pixa skirt is above all as "pencil" and detail: its "Princess" seams, two key elements will provide you with an adjusted line without being tight. This last point will also allow you to have fun with piping or simply combine 2 fabrics or both !!! Short enough to have fun;)))
For this first variation, I hesitated and my choice fell on this beautiful gray denim in Bennytex. Its consistency (600 gr) is perfect for its "pencil" cut;)))
Level: Beginner - Timing : 1:30 - Cost : €€
If you are looking for a fitted skirt and quick to perform, the Pixa skirt is made for you !!! It is incredibly simple !!!
For details of the "princess" seams, I chose to stake everything on the color lurex "bronze" piping by Fil 2000. It must be said that goes well with denim.
Once you will have to tie you cut out inserts including the mount piping. We have to be careful to sew the piping in"sandwich". I must say that denim does not facilitate the exercise of its rigidity, otherwise if you opt for a jersey jacquard or the operation will be simpler;)))
Again feel free to use the zipper foot to sew closer to the piping as well as the invisible zipper.
Last I chose not to make the belt as holding denim enables a hem. Thus it is easily placed on the hips.
In conclusion, I highly recommend the Pixa skirt if you want simplicity and enjoy yourself in less than 2 hours;)))
